today i spent time figuring out this idea that my friend alyssa gave me. i presented this basic webpage that i worked on and she said the main functionality of the site reminded her of those plastic letters commonly seen on fridges. or once commonly seen on fridges. so i spent today figuring out how to switch the page over to something more interactive. before it was a static page with links. now it has an input box and you can type whatever you want and it will display it in that style of text. which i think is more fun. i did some work in the morning. then had a phone interview with a company that i was cleary a little lost on.had to switch the sim to the iphone to make sure the mic/speaker weren't an issue. like they asked about ecommerce and i was more focused on small business while the company is def a lot bigger than that. either way, i dont think it went bad. may have 'shot myself in the foot' by giving solid numbers when asked about my expected compensation. doesnt matter tho. anyways in it i was asked what kind of priojects i'd been working on and i mentioned the letters. glad they didn't ask for a link. its on my github so i'm sure they can find it. it wasn't working then. at least not how i wanted it to. was gonna give up for the day but i gave it another stab a few hours ago and it seems to have paid off. it's working now. and while i didn't start from comeplete scratch, i did have to fully dissect everything that was happening to get it as clean and functional as it is now. so that feels like a good place to be after months of not working on any real projects

apart from that i didn't do much today. i want to finish the book i started ewither tomorrow or by the fifth. that would keep me on track. i also want to finish a few rolls of film and get that out, but these kinds of things take time ! and people are still popping fireworks outside ! and one of my lightbulbs is about to go out !
